How to Play

Welcome to Hydrate Roleplay! Follow this guide to get set up and into the city.

1. Install GTA V​

You must own a legitimate copy of Grand Theft Auto V to play on any FiveM server.

You can purchase and install GTA V from either:

Make sure you've launched GTA V at least once before continuing and logged into your Rockstar Social Club account.

2. Download & Install FiveM​

FiveM is a modification for GTA V that allows you to play on custom multiplayer servers like Hydrate RP.

  1. Go to the official FiveM website
  2. Click "Download Client"
  3. Read and agree to the terms and install FiveM
  4. Launch FiveM and sign in with your Rockstar Games account

3. Join the Hydrate RP Discord​

Our Discord is where everything starts. Join here: discord.gg/hydraterp

Step 1: Get Verified​

Once you're in the Discord:

  • If you're new, go through the onboarding process to get the Verified role.

  • If you're already in the Discord but not Verified:

    1. Go to the Channels and Roles section
    2. Click the checkbox next to "Play on the FiveM server"

Without this, you won't be able to connect to the server.

4. Join the Server​

Direct Connect Link: https://cfx.re/join/l9yp9v

Click the link and FiveM will launch straight into Hydrate RP (if you're Verified in Discord).

Option B: Use the Server Browser​

  1. Open FiveM
  2. Go to the Servers tab
  3. Remove any language filters (or set it to Australian English)
  4. In the top-right search bar, type: Hydrate Roleplay
  5. Click the Hydrate RP server and hit Connect

Troubleshooting Tips​

  • Ensure Discord is open and linked to FiveM
  • Ensure Discord is opened before you run FiveM
  • Ensure you create and have linked a cfx.re account to the FiveM application
  • If you're stuck, open a ticket in the Hydrate Discord and we'll help you out!
