Fail Fear

Fail Fear occurs when a character fails to act realistically in life-threatening situations. Your character must always prioritise survival, responding with the same fear and caution a real person would. Claiming that your character "does not fear" situations that would naturally be terrifying, such as a gun pointed at them or imminent death, is not allowed.

If responding in a non-compliant way would require you to take an extra action first (for example, aiming a gun when someone already has theirs aimed at you), you must comply. Fighting back in this situation is considered fail fear.

Example Situational Guidelines

These are common examples, not a complete list. Staff have the final say, so always use your judgement carefully.

You must comply when

  • A weapon is pointed at you and you have no weapon drawn.
  • You are not in an immediate position to shoot.
  • You are in a vehicle with no clear path to escape while a firearm is aimed at you.

You may continue fighting when

  • Your firearm is already drawn and you are in an active shootout.

You may not

  • Use your vehicle as a weapon (see Vehicle Death Match).
  • Purposely crash into walls, gas stations, bodies of water, etc. or otherwise kill yourself to avoid RP.
